Today I ,Kato, brought a load of sheep's wool to school for the kids. We talked about wool as a fiber, and how it is processed from animal to finished product. They worked together to wash some of the wool, and also cleaned leaves and dirt out of an already laundered batch. Later this week they'll card it and practice spinning! We hope to use it in a sewing project this fall.
