Our annual trip to the Trinity River was a wonderful one: the weather
was great, most of us made it out there, and no one got (seriously)
hurt. There were some scary moments and some chilly, wet splashing
this week, but it was a fun time for everyone there. The kids had a
blast, and so did the parents. We can't wait to go again! Aaron was
a skillful and reassuring guide. Everyone cooperated to make food,
clean dishes and trash up, watch kids and share space on the banks of
the beautiful Trinity. The landscape was steep and rugged, and the
river was a perfect way to sight-see. We passed gold mining claims,
flocks of mergansers and several heron. The kids even got a chance
to paddle their own kayaks at the end of the day Wednesday. No sign
of Bigfoot, but a lot of happy, tired people every night in camp. To see a slide show of the Raft Trip CLICK HERE.
